Maxx Counterflow Wort Chiller
Description
With 25 feet of co-helical wrapped copper tubing encased in our exclusive PEX shell, the Maxx counter-flow wort chiller quickly cools up to 10* gallons of boiling wort to pitch temps in less than 5 minutes! We should also mention that it eats hops for lunch, does not clog, comes with a full 5 year warranty, and guarantees a cold break on every brew day! This makes it the ideal chiller for brewing all styles of beer including plate chiller clogging New England IPAs. Using a Maxx wort chiller is foolproof, you can simply whirlpool hops and trub right through it! This is made possible through our exclusive coiling process that creates ZERO kinks or nooks for trub and hop matter to hide. Unlike convoluted and plate chillers, everything passes right through!
Are you tired of the extra time it takes to clean your chiller? When you upgrade to an Exchilerator, the agony of cleaning becomes a thing of the past. Simply flush the chiller with hot* water after use and it’s ready to go for your next brew day! It’s really that simple.
Speaking of flushing, all of our counter-flow wort chillers are built with efficiency in mind. Every Exchilerator keeps water usage to a minimum during cooling due to the fact they are so efficient. This is not only good for the planet as it conserves water, but it’s also good for your wallet!

The Exchilerator has worked very well, cooling my wort on one pass. It is incredibly efficient.
On the second use, I had a problem with the pump that I purchased and contacted the company. I was very pleased with the prompt response. Kenny seemed genuinely curious to get to the bottom of the pump malfunction and immediately sent me a replacement unit and a return box for the malfunctioning pump. Customer service was truly excellent.
I recommend the Exchilerator and other products without reservation.

This review is for the stainless steel version of the Maxx Counterflow Wort Chiller. Unlike the copper version, there is not a “hard” connection between the 1/2″ NPT connection and the stainless tubing for the wort. They provide removable bulkhead compression fittings that need to be removed and cleaned every time, which is extra effort and they take some getting used to (there is a plastic component to them that I cracked on my first try, luckily they provided extras!). Hence the 4 stars, I wish this difference was clearer in the description. Otherwise it’s chilling ability is unbelievable and I’m liking it more and more as I use it.

Nice chiller, a must if your going to whirlpool in your boil kettle. Takes wort temps down quickly, some type of restriction in your hose before it enters the chiller will give you better control as it cools really fast with the hose running wide open. I called Exchillerator and they recommended this addition also. I went with a ball valve and now between the wort ball valve and my water hose ball valve I can slow down or speed up the cooling as desired. I would recommend this chiller.

Very happy with this chiller. I’ve used it twice now and each time I’ve been able to cool my wort from boiling to 65 degrees (using a an ice prechiller due to ground water temp) in less than 5 minutes. Better than anything I’ve used in the past.. awesome chiller.

Delivery was fast. Set up was simple once I decided on a configuration. Prepping (pickling) was straight forward but I won’t actually use it until Dec 7th. Looks great so far.
